Prisoner On Hunger Strike Taken To Santo Tomas Hospital

Crime & PunishmentOnce again, the only person who has been arrested in the case of mass poisoning with diethylene glycol, Angel de la Cruz, was taken to the Santo Tomas hospital in Panama City, with symptoms of dehydration due to the hunger strike he undertook 13 days ago. Angel Alejandro de la Cruz, the son of the detainee, said his father's weight loss and pallor are noticeable. He calls upon the authorities to be more aware, and to listen his father's demands. El Siglo tried to obtain the version of the Supreme Court of Justice on the case of De la Cruz, through the institution's spokeswoman, Mariela Fuentes, but the calls and messages were not returned.
