Attorney General Starts Official Investigation Into Punta Chame Land Snatch

Panama's Attorney General Jose Ayu Prado started an official investigation, to determine whether there were irregularities in the titling of more than 9,000 square meters of land in Punta Chame, authorized by the former Director of Land Titling Anabelle Villamonte. Ayu Prado said they started their official investigation on 3 August 2012, after the case was reported in the news media. "We have started the investigation" said the Attorney General, without specifying whether or not they have cited Villamonte or other ANATI officials. (Prensa)
