Water Service Returns To 70% Of Panama City
The Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (Idaan) reported that after nine hours of uninterrupted operation of the water treatment plant in Chilibre, the water supply has returned to 70% of the city, including areas of San Miguelito.
Abdiel Cano, the Director of the IDAAN said that right now the water treatment plant is producing water, and it is being sent to the affected sectors with the help of nine pumps, as part of the contingency plan to speed the recovery of the system.
Cano called on people to make rational use of water, to allow the tank in Tinajitas to refill quickly, which supplies most of the high points of the city, such as Bethania, El Dorado, Villa of the Fuentes, Hato Pintado, Miraflores and Dos Mares.
The Idaan hopes that in the next few hours the system will be restored to 100%, according to the behavior that is reflected in the storage tank at Tinajitas to cover all sectors. (Telemetro)
