A year before leaving the direction of the National Assistance Program to take over the Mortgage Bank, the Secretary General of the ruling Democratic Change party, Giacomo Tamburrelli, rehabilitated, with double sealed asphalt, a rough road two kilometers long in the province of Los Santos at a cost of half a million dollars. This is the road from Las Palmistas to Los Perales, where there are no houses in the first 1.9 kilometers of travel, but only farms, and one of those farms is owned by Sergio Amaya, Tamburrelli's father-in-law. The work done on this road contrast with other projects done by the PAN around the country, where only crushed stone has been used to rehabilitate the roads, many of which are already showing serious deterioration. "These projects are made with select material, but not asphalt ..." was the answer given to this newspaper by Tamburrelli, refusing to talk about the road leading to the estate of his father-in-law and, as noted, was rehabilitated using double seal asphalt.
