The situation occurred shortly after 10:00 am on Thursday, when Ramiro Jarvis, the Chief of Security of the Court, appointed by the President of the Supreme Court Alejandro Moncada Luna, arrived at the office of Judge De León Batista to "sequester" the computers of four of his office assistants.
De Leon, who had not been notified of the proceedings, questioned the reasons for the implementation, and Jarvis said he was following orders from higher office, and he explained that it was an internal investigation.
The order to remove the office equipment was signed by the judges Harley Mitchell, Harry Diaz and the chief justice of the Supreme Court, Alejandro Moncada Luna.
For an investigation ordered by the Chamber of General Affairs of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Internal Audit Department, asked the Direction of Information to removed the computer equipment assigned to Viodelda Yangüez, Rocio Tenorio, Ricardo Fuller and Akira Castillo for inspection. (TVN)
