SUNTRACS Looting Stores on Ave Central - Not Enough Cops To Protect National Assembly

Protests & DemonstrationsBy DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - The (criminal) SUNTRACS labor union protesters are now breaking into and looting stores on Ave Central in Panama City, near the National Assembly. All of the cops in town have been positioned around the National Assembly in a defensive perimeter, but there are reports that "there are not enough police officers" to guarantee the security of the National Assembly. Taking advantage of the total lack of police presence, the SUNTRACS thugs are now breaking into stores and stealing the contents.

Editor's Comment: The exact same thing happened in December 1989 with the US Just Cause invasion of Panama City to remove Manuel Noriega from power as a military dictator. The US quickly won the military battle, but they had failed to adequately plan for civil affairs. I remember photos of this exact same store being looted back then. Location, location, location...
