During its construction, the project will generate three thousand direct jobs and 2,500 more when it is opened between 2013 and 2014.
The president, Ricardo Martinelli, who attended the event, said this is the largest private project that has been built in our country so far, and that together with all the projects developed by the government, such as the construction of airports the Metro and the road realignment, will strengthen the image of Panama as a prominent and important tourist destination.
Martinelli said Panama is becoming a hub of connectivity, so the country's future will be promising with the construction of major projects in Panama and create new jobs.
According to its promoters, SOHO Panama will become a new icon of Panama, that will have a financial operations center, shops, residences, and the first Ritz Carlton Hotel in Central America and the second in Latin America. (Panama America)
Editor's Comment: The "largest private project" that has ever been built in Panama? Really? If that's true, it's going to be big.
