About 108 kilos of cocaine were seized at a residence in the Eastern part of the province of Panama. This drug seizure is part of the result of an operation that took place in different parts of the area. As part of the operation seven people were arrested who have been linked to the possession and sale of drugs. (Critica)

Editor's Comment: There's an effort to try to raise the "drug sub" that sank this week in deep water about 40 kilometers from Isla Colon in Bocas del Toro. Supposed there's about three or four tons of cocaine on board. The three people who were arrested - plucked from the ocean floating with three bales of cocaine - are not talking. One person died as they scuttled the sub. Most of the crime in Panama can be linked to drug trafficking in one way or the other.
