More than 26 dead cows were reported by the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) in the province of Coclé, because of the drought and food shortages in parts of the province, especially Aguadulce and Natá, which are near the dry arch.

Javier Miranda, MIDA livestock manager, announced they are taking measures to support farmers with food as silos, balers and vitamins to avoid more deaths of these cattle, this support is being provided to farmers who have been affected by the drought.

Ricardo Herrera, president of the Anagan in Coclé, said farmers are worried and say this should have been done long before emergency declaration and the MIDA should support farmers facing droughts a lot more. (Dia A Dia)
