4.7 Earthquake Was Felt In Isla Coiba

EarthquakesToday, Monday, June 24, an earthquake was recorded to the west-northwest of Isla Coiba of 4.7 magnitude in the Richter scale and its epicenter was 10 km deep, said the director of the Institute of Geosciences of the University of Panama (UP), Eduardo Camacho.

The earthquake was felt to the south of Veraguas and the east of Chiriqui, with no damages, however, it is considered as a moderate earthquake.

This is not the first earthquake, because since last Saturday, June 22, over 10 earthquakes have been felt over the magnitude of 4 in the Richter scale, according to Camacho.

About the matter, Camacho asked the citizens to remain calm because this type of earthquakes do not cause damage. (Panama America)
