To Gates, being there and seeing the different types of ships and all the activity, is truly fascinating.
The founder of Microsoft enjoyed a vacation with his family doing a tour of the Panama Canal aboard their vessel, and enjoyed seven hours through the expansion of the Canal in the Caribbean side, the Miraflores Visitors Center, among others.
One of the most interesting things for Bill was the Windows operating systems in the computers used by the Panama Canal Authority (ACP).
Gates shared a video of this experience on his website www.thegatesnotes.com, titled "Taking the Family to the Panama Canal," where he talks about his decision of visiting this wonderful work after reading a book by the author David McCullough, which made him want to know even more about the story.
