During the month of December, more than $300 million will be circulating in the country due to the payments of the "13th month" and Christmas savings from banks and cooperative offices.
Argelis Gordon from consumer education of the ACODECO advised consumers to direct some of the extra money they will receive to their savings.
Also ACODECO asked consumers to verify the merchandise before purchasing it and to request a warranty, since people usually buy gifts for Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year during this time of the year.
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Consumer Rights Institute adviced people to spend wisely.
In the case of public sector banks and cooperative offices, about $85 million will be given in savings.(TVN)
