Editor's Comment: I have real heartburn with this Diaz guy. When the KPC bacteria first started killing people in the Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex in Panama City, their first reaction was to cover it up. They issued memos trying to prevent the hospital staff and doctors from talking to anyone about it. They didn't know what was going on. They failed to take appropriate and timely action to contain the outbreak - for months. They failed to implement procedures that would have saved dozens of lives. Only AFTER the KPC outbreak was reported in the news did they finally start to do what they should have done months before. They restricted visits, moved and isolated patients, got outside help from the Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. Only after it was in the press. Before that, they were trying to cover it up, hide it, and protect their own asses. Who knows how many people died needlessly, because of their neglect and failure to act. Yeah, screw that guy... And by the way - this is the 18,000th Article published on this website. I like round numbers.
