What if you don’t have a corporate “pension” and you’re too young for Social Security? Without one or the other, you are ineligible for the “Pensionado” visa. But there are several other ways to get a permanent residency visa, and some of them even allow you to eventually become a Panamanian citizen, if you so desire. All are a bit more complicated than the Pensionado visa process, will take longer, and will cost a bit more money in legal fees.
