Latest Link Swapper - "A farm in the rainforest of Panama"

What is PG? By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - What a great website. Welcome aboard to our latest link swapper, Stephan Schwab and his website - A Farm In The Rainforest of Panama. From his website - "My name is Stephan Schwab. I moved to Panama in 2006 and my wife and I have been enjoying living here ever since. This whole farm thing is something completely new to me. I’m not a farmer by trade. My profession is software development and I usually work for clients outside of Panama as a Software Technology Consultant. I view running a farm as a good way to get away from the computer screen and free my mind. Plus being in outside and in nature is more healthy. I don’t like to run track or spend time in a fitness studio working machines. I’d rather do something that’s a means to an end. I think the farm will provide a lot of opportunities for that." This is a great website for the story, the photos, and to follow the trials and tribulations of what it really takes to buy a remote farm in the interior of Panama, and to build a working farm. Anyway, definitely worth a visit. If you've got a website of your own, don't forget to take advantage of our long-standing Link Exchange Program which lets you make our traffic your traffic for free, nada, zip, gratis, cero... What a bargain. Good luck up there, guys. Be careful on them horses.

If You're Going To Submit A Link Or An Article For Publication...

What is PG?By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - If you would like to have a link to your website appear on Panama-Guide.com, then please read this article about our long standing Link Exchange Program and follow those guidelines. Most importantly, if you just submit a link without coordinating it with me then I won't put it up - I have to check to make sure you're linking to me and then I'll link back to you. I just deleted dozens of links people have submitted over the past several months, and I simply don't have time to hunt those people down to see if they are in fact linking to me. So, please just take the time to do a little simple coordination and off we go. The same goes for article submissions - please send me a quick email to let me know what you've put in, mostly just to make sure I'm aware of it and to get it on my radar. I'll take anything that's Panama related as long as it's not blatant advertising for a company or services of some kind. Tell us your Panama story, we'd love to hear it... Submitting an article is quick and easy, if you can write an email then you can write and article. I prefer the articles be submitted with the author's true name so I can give them credit on a By-Line. However, if you wish to remain anonymous because you want to bitch or complain about something that's fine, as long as you coordinate with me on the side - I have to know who you are but I won't publish that if I decide to use it.

Latest Link Swapper - Richard Detrich's Blog About Life in Panama

What is PG? By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Welcome aboard to our latest link swapper - www.RichardDetrich.wordpress.com, which is Richard Detrich's blog about life in Panama and on the Seven Seas. From his website - "Richard currently lives in Palmira, a tiny town in the mountains just outside Boquete, Panama, where he and his wife raise coffee and three dogs – two Dalmatians and a Rottweiler. When not in Panama Richard can be found lecturing on various cruise ships. He has worked on Celebrity, Holland America, and Princess, and will be spending the Northern hemisphere “winter” ‘09-’10 onboard ROYAL PRINCESS." Great gig if you can get it. Anyway, Richard wrote today to participate in our long standing link exchange program, and he's actually been linking to Panama-Guide for a long time and just never got around to signing up. Anyway, welcome aboard, and don't mind the mess, we weren't expecting company...

Traffic Report for August 2009 - Bandwidth Record?

What is PG?By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - As usual, it's the last day of the month of August 2009 so here goes the obligatory traffic report for the website. I know, if this is boring to you then please just press on to the next article or whatever. August was an OK month for traffic. Not great, but just OK. The only real record this month was in bandwidth consumed, of all things. That's right, this month our readers consumed 196.98 GB of bandwidth - and all time high as far as I can tell. In all other categories we had good traffic as well, we just didn't break any records. Whatever. I know you don't really care. What matters is a continuation of slow and steady growth over time, year after year.

Happy 5th Birthday - Panama-Guide.com

What is PG?By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Five years ago today, on 27 August 2004, www.panama-guide.com officially came to life. It's hard to believe it's been that long already. Since our launch we have published a total of 9,595 articles, for an average of 1,919 per year or 5.25 per day. According to Sitemeter.com, which has been running on our site since the start, we've seen a total of 2,399,382 unique visitors since our launch. Not bad for a little backwater "secondary market" news website - English in Panama where Spanish is the primary language. We now average a little over 5,000 unique visitors per day, more during the week, less on weekends, and we deliver about 55,000 page views per day, and well over 1.5 million per month. Anyway, we're still here, we continue to grow and get stronger, and without a doubt we have established Panama-Guide.com as the "go to" source for English language news in the Republic of Panama. Thank you all very much for making us #1. Happy birthday to us, happy birthday to us, happy bbiiirrrrthhdayyy Panama-Guide, happy birthday to us (and many more...) Now, who wants to give me "one to grow on?"

Perfeshional? Who u callin' Perfeshional?

What is PG? By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - I just love it when people get ticked off for some reason or the other and the come at me with comments like "that's not very professional" or "you'll damage your reputation..." Yeah, right. Who ever said I was professional? I mean, I just kinda fell into this, I do whatever the hell I want, I don't sugar coat anything, I speak clearly and plainly, I say whatever the hell is on my mind, and I pick the words I use carefully for efficiency and the greatest impact. If someone is acting like a prick, then I'll call them a prick. If I think I smell bullshit, then I'll "raise the bullshit flag." And believe it or not there really are assholes in this world, or another way to say "... he's a particularly unpleasant kind of fellow..." I like to post pictures of hot chicks in bikinis - not so much for you guys, that's mostly for me. And 99.9% of the feedback I get from people sounds like this - "I don't always agree with your politics or your point of view, but I know I can trust you to tell the truth, call a spade a spade, speak clearly, and to tell it like it is." And that's my state secret. A little controversy helps every now and then, just to keep it interesting. Anyway, keep those comments coming. I love it when you call me "unperfeshional" - it makes my nipples twitch...

--- Free Hooker Raffle from Panama-Guide.com! Win Free Sex in Panama ---

What is PG? By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - That's right, if you order now, you'll get one free pass to the best English language news website in Panama. You see, the last full week of every month is what I call "sweeps week." There are now about six days left in the month of August, and I sometimes pull little stunts like this towards the end of the month to sucker in additional traffic to the website. The babe in the photo comes courtesy of elcomplaciente.com. They never seem to mind when I use their photos for this kind of stuff. Free advertising and all. As a matter of fact last week their website was down for awhile and I thought they might have gone to ground when Bosco started busting the bodacious buxom brunette bordello bimbos. But tally ho, they seem to be back and running just fine, thank you very much. Anyway, no - I'm not actually giving away any free sex - but it sure would be a good time to forward this article to someone you know and love with the message, "hey, here's this great website you might be interested in." Tell your friends. They might want a chance to win some free sex too. And if they're too old to get laid, then you might want to let them know that Walt Disney Is Coming To Panama. You're never too old to have a little fun, right? That's me, just kicking the can down the road, wearing that same shit-eating grin...

And Then Everything Breaks At Once...

What is PG? By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Have you ever noticed that when things start to break or go wrong, they come in spurts? You might have noticed I've been kinda quiet over the past couple of days for several reasons. My car called it quits right in the middle of the main drag in Pedregal - it seems like there was some kind of a short in the electrical system, and it was just like "poof" and the motor stops running. Fun. Then the graphics card on my primary computer system smoked - I mean with smoke and everything - so this morning had to drop what I was doing and go see my buds over at IBC Computers in El Dorado (in a taxi, because my car was also toast.) So I got a new graphics card, better than the one that was in the machine before (smile) and now it's back up and running. And also a couple of days ago the air conditioner in my office also decided to crap out. The electronic control card that thinks for the thing burned out, so now I have guys crawling around to fix that. Anyway, like they say these things tend to come in "threes" so I guess I'm done for now. My karma debt to the grand invisible electronics god has been paid and I'm now "paz y salvo" for awhile longer. But for awhile there I thought I would have to revert to a coconut radio made by the Professor from Gilligan's Island or something...
